Hazem and Innas did not want a conventional engagement session. They started in clean white shirts with paint containers and gloves, then let the photographs become messier, brighter, and more spontaneous as the paint war unfolded.

How to plan a paint-war engagement session responsibly
Use only washable, non-toxic materials that are approved for skin contact, and test them before the session. Protect eyes and mouths, avoid inhaling powders or sprays, and keep clean water, towels, gloves, and a complete change of clothing nearby. A plain white outfit makes the color visible, but it should be clothing the couple is comfortable sacrificing.
The location matters just as much as the photographs. Get explicit permission, protect floors and nearby property, prevent paint from reaching soil or waterways, and plan the cleanup before opening a container. A studio or controlled private area is usually safer than improvising in a public park.
