Mansion at Strathmore Wedding: Cary + Nick
Updated: Oct 8

Cary and Nick’s wedding photographs at the Mansion at Strathmore bring together the house, its grounds and the people gathered for their celebration. This gallery is a starting point for deciding how you want a mansion wedding to be photographed, alongside the access and layout that fit your own date.

Keep the people at the center of your portrait plan. A room or garden can give the photographs a sense of place, while closer frames make space for expressions and interaction. Use a full gallery to discuss the balance you want, rather than trying to recreate every pictured scene.

Match the mansion layout to the celebration
How many guests can we plan for?
The official 2026 Mansion at Strathmore wedding card lists up to 100 for a full wedding with a seated ceremony, meal and dancing, and 150 for a standing reception. Its reception-only options use different layouts. Ask the rentals team for the capacity of your complete plan, including tables, entertainment and the dance floor.
The card and 2026 rental packet describe some reception configurations differently. Confirm any larger seated setup in the written agreement. Current rental information does not establish the arrangements at Cary and Nick’s wedding.

Coordinate access and the weather alternative
The rental packet requires a separate day-of coordinator for weddings and limits access to licensed hours. Preparation rooms, supplier arrival, photographs and cleanup all need to fit that access window. The house coordinator’s role is distinct from coordinating your whole celebration.
Agree the indoor weather alternative at the walkthrough. Choose nearby portrait options and leave time to move between them. For guests with access needs, confirm the entrance, parking and route through your booked spaces with the rentals team.
The venue’s Mansion weddings page is the place to ask about date availability, tours and rental proposals. Photography is arranged separately.

Photographing a mansion wedding without making it a room tour
Cary and Nick's Mansion at Strathmore photographs bring the grounds and interiors into the wedding story, but a beautiful building should not be asked to do all the work. A wider photograph can establish the mansion; a close photograph of the couple or their families is where the emotional detail belongs.
Historic rooms often have very different light from the gardens outside. I would plan one compact portrait route around the actual spaces included in the rental, leaving room to adjust if the weather changes or the indoor setting is needed for another part of the event. The day-of coordinator can help protect those transitions so a portrait session does not interfere with guest movement.
Look at Nick and Cary's earlier AFI Silver Theatre engagement session alongside this wedding. It is a useful reminder that a full photographic story can have different settings and visual moods while still feeling like the same two people. That consistency matters more to me than making every location look identical.
